Kristen treats all types of skin, hair and nail conditions. She feels that a thorough skin screening annually is crucial for the early detection and management of skin cancer. Kristen prides herself on taking time to listen to her patient’s concerns and history, performing a thorough exam, and developing a treatment plan that is in line with each patient’s preferences (conventional or alternative medicine) and budget.
While Kristen enjoys treating patients of all ages, she has a true passion for pediatric dermatology. She feels that it’s important and helpful to explain treatments to kids and their parents, and finds that involving kids in their treatment allows them to feel more comfortable and in control. This results in kids being less fearful and more compliant with treatments.
In addition to medical dermatology, Kristen is also experienced with surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She has over 20 years experience in removing benign and malignant lesions in the office. For patients interested in anti-aging and cosmetic dermatology, Kristen offers topical therapies, natural alternatives, injectables and microneedling. An area of particular interest to Kristen is acne scarring. She understands the emotional and social impact that scarring can have and works together with her patients to determine the best course treatment for each person.
Outside of the office, Kristen is married with two children who attend school locally. She and her family love to play board games, spend time at the beach, and travel to State and National Parks. She can typically be found out and about in the Wellington area at cross-country/track events or at Scouting America activities with her family. Kristen also studied abroad in both Mexico and Spain and is fluent in spanish.
